Western Kentucky University www.wku.edu is now offering a Master of Arts in History online. Just thought I'd pass this on.

    Ted,
One day you will come up with a doctorate in History online.
Then you will have reached legendary status (if you already haven't)!!
    all the best,
    Gavin

    Thanks for finding this!

I have always thought history was a field ideally suited for DL, although not as profitable as some others. I am really encouraged to see this – WKU is a very solid school. They had William Lane on their faculty, who was a huge name in Biblical studies (wrote major commentaries on Hebrews and Mark & taught for years at Gordon-Conwell.) One of my mentors studied under him for the MA in humanities at WKU.

One disquieting note: admission to the residential MA in History requires a GRE score of 1200, which is pretty good. The DL version only requires that you get a 2200… when you multiply your GRE score by your GPA. I hope the faculty won’t see this as a two-tiered program.
