What do you all think about the Ashworth MBA or Ashworth Masters in Human Resources? Has anyone here completed a graduate degree from Ashworth? I looked into them and they look interesting. I have looked at MBAs from other schools and while some courses are similar, others are not.

I am aware that the degree is DETC accredited, but my employer is okay with DETC.

Any advice? My employer would help me with the tuition costs. I admit that I do like the fact that you can work at your own pace. In addition, what do you think of the curriculum of these two programs?

    Any info would help.

I earned my associates from Ashworth and although I have put it to good use, they leave much to be desired in the form of customer service and communication.

Also their MBA program is not nearly as competitively priced as they should be. For a DETC MBA you have a ton of other less expensive options available to you.

California Coast University would be a better overall deal and still allow for independent study...or Aspen University for an MBA for under 6K which honestly may be one of the best deals going.

Or if you can bite the bullet and keep a schedule for $275 an hour www.apus.edu has a regionally accredited MBA program.

You can also check out Chadron State College for a best buy regionally accredited option.

At one time, Ashworth University (formerly known as Ashworth College) had perhaps the least expensive MBA program around. If I remember correctly, it was under $4,000 for the entire program. Of course, you get what you pay for. As FriendorFoe stated, the customer service at Ashworth is notoriously horrendous, but for that price, you couldn't beat it.

Ashworth made some changes, including to its name, added some additional programs (including BA degrees) and boosted the price of its MBA program. The last time I looked it was in the $9,000 to $10,000 range. There are cheaper, regionally accredited options available.

It was at $5,999 with $100.00 down and $100.00 month, I was not able to take advantage of that deal since they only have two masters at that time in Business and Criminal Justice, by the time the added other masters they increase the price and it became less attractive to me, since for the same price or less (Amberton University RA for example) you can get master at a much better University.

The only good thing about them is the payment plan. In Amberton you have to pay as you go and they do not participate in Title for IV financial aid, it makes hard for people with modest salary, little to no help from employers. The only thing cheap is the Bachelor's at $80 a credit, but you can get cheaper at local state college if time and structure is not an issue (is not BK you cannot have your way).

Lastly, terrible customer service, I was a student briefly. They say that they transfer credit, but the fact is they are not willing to do the evaluation before you enrolled, and want you to enrolled and then the will evaluated to see what transfers, bottom line they will not do it anyway, if you enrolled or not, since they charge by the semester and do not want to prorate any fix fees.
