Individual Undergrad Comp Sci Courses

Hello,

Can anyone recommend any low cost options for online undergrad computer science classes? I may need to take a few Master's prerequisite classes. Ideally, I would like self paced classes that I can start at any time.

Could you tell us which undergraduate courses you require as prerequisites to starting to graduate degree?

 

1. Computers As Components (I think this may be equivelant to the more common Computer Architecture)

Right now I'm considering Chico because their courses are self paced, but I'd ideally like to find something cheaper.

 

University of Southern California offers an operating systems course via the USC Distance Education Network (DEN) webcast site.

Athabasca University, Alberta, Canada, offers a challenge for credit option for many courses. The tuition is reasonable CAD696.00 for a 3-credit hour course challenge. They offer 272 Data Structures and Algorithms and 314 Computer Organization. You might be able to talk with a professor at Athabasca University about an independent reading course, similar to 376 Ordinary Differential Equations, in the area of Principles of Programming Languages or Operating Systems. In any case, it would not hurt to ask.
