Good Evening All, I'm looking for an online program in Project Management. I'm currently an active duty Air Force officer looking to expand my knowledge of project management. I can use tuition assistance for this program so I'm looking at a max of $750 per course. However, if there is a great program out there with a great name attached and a little more expensive I don't mind tapping into my GI Bill to cover the difference. By the way, I used to visit this site quite frequently back in 2006 when I was looking for an online MBA. Based on the information I found here on this forum I chose NCU. It was a great program and it lead to me getting my commission this past year as a 1Lt in the Air force. Great Forum!
If you are ultimately seeking certification as a project manager, you will likely want to achieve either Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI). Project Management Training Online offers both the CAPM and PMP training programmes towards certification. Boston University offers training in project management.
UC Berkeley offers an online project management certificate. Tuition is $700 per course for a total of six courses. http://www.unex.berkeley.edu/cert/project.html
If you can live with continuing education credits, UW Extension has a very solid-looking program at: http://www.outreach.washington.edu/ext/certificates/pm2/pm2_gen.asp Some classes cost 800+, some only 600.
University of Denver. Tuition is $438/credit x 24 credits required = $10,512 + some miscellaneous fees. Like others, DU's PM courses are accredited by PMI and count toward the classroom requirement to sit for the PMP exam: http://universitycollege.du.edu/grad/motm/degreeplan.cfm?degreeID=51
