According to EC I have completed 119/120 credits for the Bachelors of Science (Liberal Studies) degree, the only class I will need is information literacy, which can be waived once I recieve my masters degree next year, should I pursue this degree since I already have a bachelors degree already? Thanks

    Gee, 1 more credit for a bachelor's degree? That's a no-brainer!

Did they say why they would waive the class?? were you taking it through the Masters program?

Youd have to figure out the total cost for the degree and see if its worth it to you.

If you masters isnt through EC, As far as i can tell, they would charge $895 enrollment fee, plus a $440 annual student fee, plus a $495 graduation fee, in addition to the 1 credit class ($290).

Im i the exact same boat with them and just cant bring myself to cough up the approx $2k for the degree. (i already have two masters degrees)

If you do decide to pursue it you can finish the info lit course in an hour or less.

I don't know what "B.S.H.S." means, but I'd guess that it's a bachelors of science in some practical job-related thing. If that's so, then a bachelors in liberal studies might go well with it, suggesting to prospective employers that you are more flexible and well-rounded than candidates with narrower vocational-style backgrounds.

Seeing as how you already have the credits and can get the degree virtually for the asking, I'd do it. I don't see much downside.

I just got off the phone with an EC Admissions counselor and she said that since I'm military I would pay $765 for the enrollment fee $495 for the graduation fee, and she said that if you recieved your masters degree since 1995 the information literacy course will be waived. I'm going to wait until I finish my masters and then enroll, and do their payment plan.
