I finally obtained my AS from COSC and now going for my BS and want my Individualized Studies concentration to be Management/Psych. I'm putting it here for review because I don't want to matriculate until I have most of my credits, and the counselors will only guide you so far, then "suggest" I'd get more specific guidance once I enroll. Here's my tentative plan: UPPER LEVEL-- EX(celsior)--HR Managemant EX--Labor Relations EX--Org. Behavior EX--Abnormal Psych. EX--Psych. of Adulthood and Aging DSST--Drug and Alcohol Abuse (have) LOWER-- CLEP--Princ. of Management (have) CLEP--Princ. of Marketing CLEP--Intro.Business Law DSST--Money and Banking CLEP--Human growth and Dev. (have) I'm not sure about other lower level exams yet, (of course I'll take all suggestions!) but I just want to see if the upper level plan is a good one for me to get started on. Thanks all! ellen
I'm not familiar with COSC's distribution requirements (someone else who is will chime in), but I'd just like to say congratulations on the A.S. degree!
Randell other than the exams I listed with "(have)" after it, I finished my AS with 26 credits of electives past the recommended 60, 86 total. Only 1 is upper, the rest lower. If you'd like an exact list I can do that tomorrow.....I'm much better before midnight ;-)
It would be good to see what you have (CLEP English, CLEP History, etc.) What I did was pass the exams for all the required gen ed classes. Then I took the upper level classes I need via test (DANTES and ECE) and two traditional classes. I then took the easy electives based on the passing rate for the military. Not that the miliary is stupid but they are the only ones that keeps stats.
