What do you guys think about this question on Linkedin?

BTW, there are lots of good questions and answers on the education section of this site. Lots of people with online/distance degrees out there.

Would you put PMBA on your resume?

    Even cheeper than Aspen.

I read the answers- What I found out is
    a) people don't have a clue
    and
    b) people don't have a clue.

The people who said they would hire an open course ware graduate have no idea what open course ware is. The fact that it is free is irrelevant. YOU ARE NOT A STUDENT, you are a SPECTATOR! LOL I think that on the off chance that someone did watch all of the video lectures in an entire course, maybe they read some of text books they use for required reading (the course I did had 24 required text books! Yeah, I skipped those.) Even still- the student doesn't submit homework, complete assignments, doesn't have a conversation with the professor, doesn't email the professor, doesn't communicate with another student, and is never evaluated, psssttt....your not an MIT student! Try "confirming" your MIT "degree" and you'll be in hot water for misrepresentation. MIT or ABC or XYZ it doesn't amount to a hill of beans. I am floored that someone somewhere would include this on a resume, and even more floored that someone somewhere would hire you for doing so.

I would say "NO" because MIT OCW doesn't provide a degree or certificate. Can MIT prove that I complete all the requirement courses for the MBA program via OCW? Absolutely not, so rather to hire an Aspen MBA then MIT OCW MBA.

"OCW does not grant degrees or certificates."

Unbeliveable how creative people can get in their attempts to polish their resumes...

The school should be manamed as UnCapital College because there is no uppercase in their writing.

    "is this college accredited?
before that question can be answered. we have to step back and look at the big picture. many students will only go to a college that is accredited. they think that if the college is accredited, then it is a valid college. however, if a student doesn't understand the accreditation process, most do not, then they are going to be misled..."
