    I can't believe I'd never heard of the Alliance for Lifelong Learning, a consortium of Princeton, Yale, Stanford, and Oxford, offering distance learning courses (albeit primarily to students, alumni, and donors). They're in the news today because 25% of the members (i.e., Princeton) are leaving the consortium, but the head of the consortium says not to worry, this was expected. (Each school had put up $3 million. A total of ten courses are offered.
