Anyone out there getting their teaching degree online? If so, who with and are you happy with your choice of school? I cannot seem to find but a few online teaching degrees.
    Thanks

    Hi Patricia,

I don't have direct experience in this area, but I hear that Western Governor's University, comes highly regarded. They offer online Bachelor's degrees in Education, including teacher certification.

    Good Luck!

I earned my Masters of Education from the University of Maryland University College. That school is highly regarded as well...

I completed my basic teacher ed courses from the University of Phoenix. Honestly, I hated them. I hated their learning teams with every ounce of my being.

I earned my MSEd from Walden University, but it isn't a teacher-licensure degree. Because of my work through UoP, I already had a license. The Walden degree was just because I wanted to continue my education. I loved every minute of their program.

I don't know about WGU. I inquired about one of their programs, and now I get about 10 pieces of junk mail from them a day, on top of all the email they're sending me. They might be a good school, but they seem rather desperate for students if you ask me.

EDIT: Okay, so literally, as soon as I posted this my phone rang and it was WGU. Geez... leave me alone! How many times do I have to tell them I'm not interested anymore... :-(

I got my Masters of Education degree from Grand Canyon University. GCU offers licensure programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level completely online:

    Wgu

What information I got is in the link below. It lets students rate schools.
WGU did not seem to fair well. But since the school I am now attending was rated very good, and I am not happy there, I think it needs to be taken lightly. I was just really impressed with Grand Canyon.
