    Hello,
What DL school will take the most of my credits and be the fastest to a BS or BA in biology?. I never received my BS because I was in a fast track program to chiropractic school. I am changing careers and going into teaching but the alternate route teaching program requires at least a BS or BA in the desired field and does not recognize my DC degree as suitable. I have 2 years of undergraduate sciences and 4 years of graduate school. I am looking to enroll in the program asap and need the quickest way to a BS/BA in Bio. Thanks in advance

Thomas Edison and Excelsior. Keep in mind that Charter Oak offers only concentrations, not majors. This may be important to you.

As an aside, may I ask why you are getting out of the Chiropractic profession? Just curious.

If your DC was from a regionally accredited college you can probably use some of your grad degree for your undergrad. You would want to check and double check on the policy (don't take the first "no" for an answer) because I am not totally sure how it works- but I assure you that IF any school will grant you backward credit for your undergrad- it will be TESC.

If your DC was from a nationally accredited college, it will be faster to take your regionally accredited undergrad credits and just move on with the remaining 120. All is not lost, because you can assemble credit for prior learning credits from your grad degree classes. It's kind of like credit laundering :)

TESC has a BA in biology. There is a college catalog pdf on the website, you can pull it up and view the credit distribution. You can use CLEP exams and DSST exams to fill in the gaps outside the biology major. This is the FASTEST way to knock out anything gen ed.

TESC charges $75 for an application fee, which includes an academic evaluation- you would need to send your transcripts, but the process is painless.

My step-dad is a chiropractor. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic....ummm.....probably in 1985 if I had to guess. He has been in private practice, but since we live in the same community as Palmer, the area is pretty saturated with chiros and business has never been terrific. Your not in the Quad Cities are you?
