I'm glad I stumbled across this site. The wealth of information is tremendous. I have a BS in Bus Admin from a B&M school and currently work in an entry level government position. I've been looking at graduate programs to improve my chances at promotion as well as giving me a marketable backup plan. I may also eventually (after retirement) want to teach at the college level.

I considered an MBA but I already have the BSBA and don't want to relearn the same material. An MPA is a possibility but I am more interested in a management program.

The two schools I am most interested in are Alabama and Liberty. Both carry name recognition and are affordable. All things equal, I would rather go to Liberty. I live in the Mid-Atlantic and Liberty is well-known but I am not sure if the degree would be as respected. It is not AACSB accredited, while UA is.

Is there a substantial difference in program quality? Would I be selling myself short by attending Liberty? Are there any other reputable programs I should look at?

    Go w/UA

My advice is to go with UA if there is any chance you'd ever want to teach even part-time. I would go with the best AACSB program that you can find based on your budget.

    Best of luck.

Another vote for Alabama; can't beat the name recognition and AACSB certainly doesn't hurt.
