UMASS Bachelor of Arts with Individualized Concentrations

Anyone seen this before. Interesting read for sure. My plans are still to complete my Associates through TESC (as of today anyway ) but this might be worth looking into after that. What are your thoughts?

UMass is great (I am biased ), but I've never been a big fan of the "design your own concentration/major" programs. Just personal preference, but I think those things tend to end up being too broad or too esoteric/specialized.

 

I've never done one, but I have to admit that I like the concept. I first saw it offered at Granite State.

It's been around for a lot longer than Granite State; Union Institute, Goddard College, and Burlington College have been offering self-designed programs for many years.

As I mentioned, just personal preference for me. Perhaps I'm either too regimented or not creative enough.
