The last time I checked on the ACE guide the only NFA courses evaluated for credit were the Q118, Q318, and Q534 courses.

How do you search ACE for classes that have been reviewed by them for credit? I can't seem to find the link.

Nevermind I found it. Man there are lots of different ACE evaluated training. I wonder if there was a way we could sort through the ones that are free.

AFAIK, only the above mentioned NFA courses from the independent study program are ACE reviewed. NFA IS and FEMA IS are not the same thing.

Will TESC take these RAW from NFA? Has anyone done this?

Also, for the TESC BSBA degree, they accept up to 18 credits from FEMA. Will the three Q* classes count towards the gen electives or do they fall into the same bucket as the 18 FEME credits.

21 credits vs. 18 credits - anyone know?

TESC accepts directly from NFA: Q118, Q318, and Q534. I can't speak to whether the NFA credits will be counted as being the same as FEMA with regard to the BSBA, but it was counted the same for me on the AAS.

In the American Council on Education catalog FEMA and the NFA are listed very much the same, though their independent study programs are run seperately.

Yes I know - my point was that there are NFA IS courses that are ACE evaluated. There are no EMI IS courses that are ACE evaluated, the only EMI courses that have ACE credit attached are in-the-seat courses at the NETC or delivered through the states. You can take those NFA IS courses to any college that recognizes ACE and get credit for them, but you are relegated to only a few choices for EMI IS credit.

I know you are the SME on how this works, but I was making the distinction for the orginal poster. Most people are under the assumption that EMI and NFA IS courses are the same thing, but they are run separately as you mentioned.

How do you get transcripts from the Q courses? I called the NFA and was told they do not offer transcripts of Q courses. I would have to print the certificate out and present it to my university.

What steps are required to have TESC accept / acknowledge the NFA course credits?

    Confused ... :(

    Q-Courses

A couple of months ago I completed two NFA 'Q' courses that TESC reportedly accepted per this discussion board - I established an account with the 'American Council on Education' (ACE) - they had an electronic record of the Q-courses sent to them to establish a transcript - and I sent the transcript to TESC where I received the credits. I think it cost like $40. Good luck! William
