This is more of a general question rather than a distance education question but I figure several of you might be able to answer this question. A friend and I were discussing the possibility of using you JD to earn a masters degree. In other words taking the hours earned and applying it toward credits needed to complete a masters program in Criminal Justice for example. It would seem at face value that you might only need around 15 hours to complete the masters degree but neither of us were sure if it was possible. What are your thoughts? :)

Most programs will only let you apply 9 credits from another graduate degree towards a masters. If a school is going to award you their degree, they usually want you take take their courses.
