Anyone has any information on Regent University? I know it's Evangelical. I know it's regionally accredited. They're offering a PhD in Leadership by distance. Please advise. Thanks.

Rigor-wise, I've heard nothing but good things about them. You might contact Jason Baker, who did his own Ph.D. at Regent (and helped design some of their distance learning programs).

    Good luck!

I have applied to Regent and hope to begin the doctoral program in Education next spring. After months of searching I found the perfect program there. I am less than thrilled with the tuition -- but having a doctoral concentration in my field will be worth it. [There is a new education cognate area that will be added in 2002 -- it is not yet advertised on the site -- and that is the one to which I am referring].

BTW I know Jason Baker from a previous grad course two years ago in which he was my prof -- and an outstanding one I must say [IMG]

I used to live within a mile of the Regent campus. I spent a lot of time at the library there. I also had occasion to meet many faculty members and students. The campus environment is absolutely first-rate. From everything I've gathered, their online offerings are exceptional, as well. I would love to undertake one of their doctoral programs; yet, until it is no longer illegal to auction off your internal organs on Ebay, I'm afraid that their tuition rate is simply beyond my means.
