Looking for 4-8 week online credit courses

For some reason, I'm unable to open up the search windows. Anyway, I'm trying to find community colleges in Florida that have accelerated courses. I'm only looking at 2-3 general ed courses for fall semester.

Have you thought about self-studying for CLEP exams to gain credit by examination?

CLEP exams cost $70 + a small test fee, and can count anywhere from 3-6 credits per exam.

If you're looking for something that has a course outline, and you can't find anything in Florida, might I suggest Penn Foster.

While they are not in Florida, and not Regionally accredited, they have 178+ courses that are ACE accredited, which is widely accepted among colleges and universities.

Penn Foster courses cost $55 per credit hour INCLUDING your text (which can sometimes run up to $130 new) and it is self paced, online, and features a proctored exam for your final.

If those solutions don't fit your fancy, I'd suggest you check out http://www.facts.org as it is an invaluable resource to help you find online courses offered by many of the colleges in Florida.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have checked out the facts web site, but it's cumbersome to go through to find accelerated classes. It's too bad the consortium isn't set up where you can apply, take classes from any of the colleges, and have one transcript.

I'll check out Penn Foster. The price is certainly right!
