This reporter took the news of (yet another) sheriff with a totally fake degree, and turned it into a more comprehensive story on the problem of diploma mills.

(And isn't The Vindicator a great name for a newspaper!)

Dr. Bear,
In your best estimate what is the most common "degree" snatched up by these individuals?

Other than people posing as medical professionals, what would you consider the worst/most dangerous scenario ever discovered?

Don't tell me we have questionable nuclear engineers operating reactors out there!

 

Since I live very close to Davis Besse Nuclear Power Station (the one where they found a football-sized hole in the reactor head a few years back), that possibility crossed my mind!

Yeaa, I caught that too. All that work and potentially going to the state prison -- for three dollars!!!!

 

You should see some of the meat heads operating the reactor on my ship, it is a wonder that they can tie their shoes let alone not kill thousands of use everyday, none of these knuckleheads even have degrees... but then again they dont claim they do either.

 

Boy, that's a scary thought!
