Well it didn't last long. The Lehigh MBA Online is no longer available after just recently getting underway. Too bad because their part-time MBA was just ranked 5th in the country by Businessweek and the cost was reasonable.

Any reason given for pulling the plug so soon?

"The feedback we have gathered indicates more face-to-face interaction with professors and other students is extremely valuable and critical to success in the program."

Have they considered a mixed-mode program with residency and an online component? I found that to be an excellent way to deliver an MBA program, and probably addresses some of the concerns you mention about interaction with faculty.

That's the way Marymount University (my current employer) handles its Master's in Catholic School Leadership program. Students come for a week or two in each of two summers, the rest is online. It's a good way to do it.

Texas A&M - Commerce faculty had similar concerns and worried about quality in 2000. That's why the online MBA was cancelled at the end of 2000. However, several years later, its online MBA comes back. So it may take time for Lehigh's online MBA to come back again.

I'll place a note next to Lehigh's MBA program for now.
