    Hiya All,

It's been a while. Who ever owns this website please renew your domain name because it going to expire soon. This is a wonderful place and I dont want anyone to squat on the name. I wouldnt have completed my degree without you folks!!

    RE: DegreeInfo Site

    Hello,

As the owner/administrator of my own site, I can tell you that unless the folks who run this site are sleeping, drugged, drunk, dead, or otherwise have lost the ability to operate a computer...they will get a message to their account Email soon enough advising them of their need to update the account status.

I doubt very much this site is going anywhere it should not be. ICANN, the internet registry service, takes some time to update files...and hosting providers can be slow sometimes too. But you're right...Jan. 14th is cutting it close. According to my sources, the site's account is also locked...so it will be difficult for anyone to "squat" as you so nicely put it, (or transfer it elsewhere) without the administrator/owner knowing about the action.

    All will be well.

As the owner of two websites, I can say that I would have to close my credit card account to allow the domains to expire--the companies renew them automatically.

...though that typically happens ~2 weeks prior to the domain name expiring... even if the name expires, it doesn't become available for someone else to register in Jan 15th, that also takes a bit of time - ample time to renew..if they're so inclined.

The domain would go to auction rather quickly, but even then, the owner has 10 days to renew the domain once it's been auctioned. You'd be surprised what great website names you can pick up, and then reauction.
