Hi folks, I'm looking for a grad class in history, hopefully low cost. Yet jumping on board...say December, or January is the most important factor! I need one more to meet this state's requirement for secondary education. Hopefully a U.S. or European class, at the 500 level. Thanks, Gavin
Here's a pretty reasonably priced independent study course at Kansas: http://www.continuinged.ku.edu/is/hist.shtml#SCRL6

Friartuck, Thanks for the info, the tsarist Russian class looks good. Ted, WOW, Can I nickname you "H-Bomb Ted"? You explode with information! I have one question for this board. If Ted is not a moderator already, then why not?!? +1 For Ted as a moderator...a little consensus building for Ted's new role! Gavin
A little note of explanation here. All of the above are indeed listed in the Peterson's Guide to Distance Learning Programs (2003 edn.) as offering distance graduate classes (but no degree) in history. However, in many of these cases, I have had difficulty finding them. Seattle Pacific University www.spu.edu , through its SPIRAL Program, does offer 5000-level distance classes in Engaging History, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Marco Polo, the American Revolution, U. S. Presidents, Lewis and Clark, the Civil War, U. S. History Since 1877, the American West, History of the Pacific Northwest, Washington History, World War II, the Vietnam War, and the History of Mexico.
offers the MA in History (with concentrations in Ancient and Classical History, European History, and American History), MA in Humanities, the MA in Military History (with concentrations in American Revolution Studies, Civil War Studies, and World War II Studies), and the MA in Military Studies (with concentrations in Land Warfare, Naval Warfare, and Air Warfare).
