Decent? No nudity, and very little profanity. Other than that, it is an independent study program with some scheduling flexibility, resulting in a degree from an accredited school no one has ever heard of.
The same can be same of many schools offering traditional brick-and-mortar and/or distance education degree programmes. There are two schools with Touro in their name: Touro College and Touro University International - to which is the original poster referring?
touro university international. I was wondering if now that they are not affiliated with a brick an mortar if they are not so great. I have read some negativity toward them. Was wondering if it was warranted.
I completed my MS-ITM in 2004 and they were fine. I have been thinking about an MBA in Finance from them.
With all the bad press, that could be good compared to UoP or DeVry which has a banner ad everyplace.
What is your definition of decent? TUI is RA accredited and would serve you for most positions where a RA degree is required. However, if you are looking to land a tenure track position with a TUI's PhD then I would be careful about this. If this is the case, you better check with the school you are planning to apply to and verify if TUI would meet their criteria. Presently, PhDs from online schools including NCU, TUI, Walden and schools alike are not very well accepted for tenure track positions but you have many exceptions since many variables play when selecting candidates for these positions.
Yes, it's an above average online school, in my opinion. I've met a lot of smart and nice people who teach there. What degree are you seeking? Dave
