I am looking for a PhD in Education. I want the degree in either special education, curriculum and instruction or educational technology. I don't mind some residencies but I do want it to be from a regular B&M school. Capella and Kaplan are not options. Price doesn't matter either. Thanks
Have you looked at Nova or Argosy? http://www.schoolofed.nova.edu/doctoral/concentrations.htm http://www.argosy.edu/colleges/education/Default.aspx
Here http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27235 is a list of short-residency education doctorates. With that as a starting point, you might cull down the list to find one in special education, educational technology, or curriculum and instruction.
I realize these don't necessarily meet your parameters, but in the interest of completeness: Mississippi State University PhD in Community College Leadership http://www.distance.msstate.edu/CCLP/ Texas A&M - Commerce EdD in Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction http://www7.tamu-commerce.edu/EDCI/Doctoral.asp?pageName=Doctoral&menuName=Doctoral Texas Tech University (joint program with Texas A&M) EdD in Agricultural Education http://www.depts.ttu.edu/distancelearning/doctoral/argicultural-education.php Univeristy of Montana EdD in Educational Leadership http://ordway.umt.edu/AA/grad/index.cfm/name/edleadership Good luck, -=Steve=-
Prescott Ph.D. Prescott has a low residence Ph.D. in education http://www.prescott.edu/academics/phd/PhDHowItWorks.html
I have had very good experiences with Nova's concentration in Instructional Technology & Distance Education. Also, several of the faculty I have had for classes are noted leaders/authors in the field.
