I know that many here are very skeptical about American Intercontinental University, which is my undergrad school. I have always tried to defend it, since it has served me very well, but I know that CEC has done lots of damage to the name. In any event, here is a link regarding The William J. Clinton Foundation-promoting a scholarship program at American University in Dubai, which is a school in the AIU system. http://www.clintonfoundation.org/programs-cs5.htm
Dubai is a very interesting place with regards to higher education. Where else can you find American, European, Asian, Australian, and Arab universities all competing in the same city? As for AUD in particular, I think there is about to be some tough competition for attention when NYU arrives!
Agreed! I am sure that AUD will really have to keep its momentum going, if they are to compete with NYU. NYIT has a campus in Jordan but AUD has more applicants - I assume due to its location. In any event, the AIU mess gets cleared up after December, and from what I hear from school officials they should be fine, they will pour even more resources into the Dubai, London, and LA campuses - since historically those were the ones that got all the $$$ anyway.
