    Breaking news..

According to the Trinity Seminary website www.trinitysem.edu, the school now offers University of Wales validated -- not just UK accredited -- degrees.

After loosing their bid for regional accrediation, this is very big news for Trinity.

This is fascinating news. I was not aware that this had occurred. To be completely truthful, my feelings about this development are mixed.

On the one hand, I'm very happy for Trinity Seminary that they have been able to achieve a legitimate validation arrangment. University of Wales validation will provide a very meaningful measure of assurance of quality.

At the same time, in light of all of the controversy that has surrounded Trinity for so many years, I genuinely hope that its affiliation with my alma mater does not end up negatively impacting American perceptions of the University of Wales.
