I've read on these boards that there are no distance learning AACSB universities. I believe this is the proper organization, not the one that is confusingly similar and used by U of P and others.

I cannot remember the tuition cost. But if AACSB is important, maybe it is worth a little more.

They are not accredited but member of the AACSB. It is not the same. They might become accredited in the future but this would require full time faculty. They might hire full time faculty but may be waiting for some numbers for their DBA. If the shortage of business faculty is real, they might get the numbers to become AACSB accredited but at this time it is still a gamble.

I do not think you have read that here. There are many, many AACSB accredited distance ed BBA and MBA programs. One look at Jonnie's page and one can see there are many listed.

A friend having financial woes went to a well-regarded financial counselor. At the end of the introductory session, she handed him a copy of Mr. Hanson's book (Good Debt, Bad Debt), telling him that if he read it and followed its advice, he probably wouldn't need her help. A year later, he's in pretty good shape, and refers, in Mr. Hanson's splendid term, to his 'near debt experience.'

Sorry, I thought you were referring to the MBA, but from the substance of your post I gather you are speaking of the DBA. If that is so then here are the only ones I could find and they are all either UK or French so :

    Henley Management College (DBA)
Grenoble Ecole de Management / University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (Joint DBA)
    Manchester Business School (DBA)
Aston Business School (PhD & DBA)

As I said in a previous post, it appears I misread both the post and the information I then posted.

    Sorry!

    Thnk You, Mr. Bear

That is great to hear, especially from you, Mr. Bear. I read your book and completed my undergrad at USNY (Regents-now Excelsior) in 11 months. I started with 12 credit hours. I sat one day at OSU and took all of the Dantes tests they had in the file. I think I earned 18 semester hours that day. They were all easy, real estate, business, etc. I also made big progress with the GRE subject tests. I graduated in July 1994 with a total degree cost of about $1,200 (and that included airfare to Chicago (Northwestern University, for the Education-GRE I needed).

I am greatly indebted to your for illuminating the path for the rest of us. I finish my MBA (Franklin U) in 10 weeks and am enthused about pursuing a research PhD from a U.K. institution. The research PhD is another thing I may not have been aware of without reading your latest book.

    Best regards.
