The University of Mississippi, also known as "Ole Miss" and Grenoble Ecole de Management have formed a partnership for business education with the first program being the Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) degree for executives. http://www.grenoble-em.com/1629-news-new-dba-partnership-with-university-of-mississippi-2.aspx
Nice catch...thanks for posting. I had started to apply for the Grenoble DBA but changed my mind at the last minute. When I was talking to them they mentioned the Ole Miss partnership. Their announcement is a little bit misleading if you don't read it carefully. The first part makes it sound like its a doctorate offered by both schools when in reality its a joint certificate from Ole Miss & Grenbole and DBA from Grenoble. Regardless...its a great program and great opportunity for people to join the DBA program and attend some workshops in the US.
My initial questions 1. Do you have to go to Mississippi? 2. Do you have to go to France? 3. How much does it cost? 4. What are the prerequisites for entry? -=Steve=-
Yes. When I was looking at it, a weekend trip to Mississippi each month through the summer was required. Yes. They had 2 required trips to France over the course of the program. ~$35K US for 4 years...but I think this was about to go up. Master's level degree (MBA, MSc) + 3 years management experience + GMAT. Here's Grenoble's comments to me about these same types of questions:
I think I'm a little confused on the structure of the program. So, it's not a joint degree like the one Grenoble has with Newcastle? What exactly is the "joint certificate" thing?
According to the statement from Grenoble: Not sure what certificate will be awarded but this doesn't appear to be the same program as the Newcastle/Grenoble joint DBA.
