A while ago someone posted a list of schools in the US that offer the Ed.D program with a limited residency period and one for schools that have no residency requirement.

Jennifer's addition of Western Illinois university got me to thinking about ones we may have missed. I also just learned of a neat one at Northern Arizona University.

If anyone else on this board has a list or a specific school they could share, it would be really interesting.

    Happy September everyone!

Technically speaking, the ones that were in my head were the ones from the original list which like totally vaporized right before I tried to hit the send button. The reconstructed list does include a few that I had to refer to my Bears' Guide for. Looking through the list, the two that I had forgotten on the "off the top of my head" list were Prescott in Arizona and Fielding in California. (Usually, the "off the top of my head" lists start alphabetically by state and then school names get filled in, even though the finalized lists are alphabetical by school name).

    Touro?

Does Touro offer an EdD now? Last I checked it was a PhD in Educational Leadership...

Sorry if I misled you, but the above list includes both the EdD and the PhD in Education.

There is little, if any, difference between an Ed.D. and a Ph.D. in education.
