Here is the question. I went to a U.K. site that listed accredited degree granting institutions and it listed Oxford Brookes as one. However my question does not end there. The degree in question is through Westminster Institute of Education, which seems to be alright however I read that their degree used to be "backed" by Oxford University. At one point it was thought that they would indeed join the Oxford group of colleges/universities. Now I would suspect that it is Oxford Brookes who "backs" the degree.

Here is the question: does that mean you graduate from Oxford Brookes and would/could the degree be used as a stepping stone to higher degrees?

While I am aware that the second part of the question tends to be up to the individual University, I guess that part of the question should be is there any reasonable reason why they wouldn't accept it. (as opposed to another DL degree)

Yes, I wrote them. (a couple of days ago) I'm just looking for insight while I wait.
