Thanks for all the help; it looks like my friend will be able to finish her Thomas Edison degree through the FEMA ISP and USFA courses. I've checked her transcript and she only needs about 30 credits to finish, and Thomas Edison will allow about 40 credits for all of the FEMA and USFA courses.

Has anyone gone this route before, and if so is there anything she should look out for? I believe what she should do is take these courses, rematriculate at Thomas Edison, open a credit bank (?) and transfer them in. She may need to take a single natural science class, but that would be easy enough for her to do through Penn Foster or one of the online community college courses that have been recommended.

I'm going to take the courses as she does to be supportive. How easy are these courses, and how quickly can a motivated person finish them? She's actually a volunteer EMT, so this really is perfect for her.

    Time Frame for FEMA EMI

Good Morning, I would not credit bank the FEMA EMI courses. I would complete them all. Some will take an hour and some will take several. I found the quickest were 240,241,242. The FEMA credits will transfer directly to TESC without banking.****A transcript is sent to your home and to requested institutions. The two USFA courses are more time consuming in the fact that you must register, print, take tests, create an American Council of Ed. account and have them transcripted. Let me know if I can help in any way. Hille
