Does anyone know of any, hopefully inexpensive, courses or exams that would satisfy Excelsior's requirements for the economics major? Introductory microeconomics and macroeconomics courses are offered everywhere, but how about courses like intermediate microeconomics or macroeconomics, money and banking, economics history of the US, or econometrics?

LSU has a couple of courses above the principles level that might meet your need. http://www.is.lsu.edu/courselist.asp?cat=Economics&nid=102&pg=

Also UF has a Managerial Economics course that might work. Class starts the 27th. http://www.distancelearning.ufl.edu/course.aspx?s=6922 In the spring they usually offer a Natural Resource economics course.

Upper Iowa University has several upper level economics courses under "business" http://www.uiu.edu/catalogs/eu/ug_courses.html#bus

University of Nebraska Lincoln has an online International economics course - http://independentstudy.unl.edu/courses/

Also, when searching around for DL economics courses, you really got to hunt. Don't forget to try search terms like agricultural economics, environmental economics, health economics (sometimes taught by public health or pharmacy colleges). These all might work towards completing your requirements for Excelsior.
