Looks like the B&M and adult learning branch are splitting their accreditation.......

“The Orange campus and University College have much in common in their commitment to quality and personalized education. But operationally they are significantly different – different customers, different delivery models, different marketing and recruitment strategies, different management, different faculty governance structures and decidedly different curricula. We believe this restructuring is critical to enabling University College to be competitive in serving the needs of the growing population of adult learners, while allowing Chapman University to achieve its full potential.”

Not good, in my view. It doesn't serve a DL program to be viewed as "not the same" as the resident program.

University of Colorado CAETE and Capitol College strike me as schools having programs that have overcome the challenge of simultaneously serving two different student populations without resorting to drastic measures such as this.

If you have ever been on this campus, you would know they are totally different schools and I kind of understand it. The B&M campus is called the "USC of OC".......... very expensive, private, and prestigious..... MANY don't know this though, they only know the DL school.

    Good School

I completed about 24 credits from a Chapman campus on 29 Palms, CA while I was in the Marine Corps. I thought that graduating from them would have been great. Part of the satellite's selling point was to highlight how highly regarded the main OC campus was. Posting US News rankings and such. I would say this does not bold well for the most part...

Rumor: Chapman's running of the UC may have become problematic, with the branch campuses doing some things that gets the whole university in trouble.

Speculation: This might be a precursor to splitting the two, spinning off the night school operation (UC) into a separate entity that will survive or fail on its own, thus preventing it from sinking the main campus with it.

    Facts: In short supply.
