I was wondering and wanted the opinions of the all-mighty wise here :p

Has anyone ever laminated their degrees prior to framing them?
I was wondering on how that would look and if it really does cheapen the look of the degree. I was considering it for all my previous degrees including my recently obtain masters'.... to ensure the life span of the degree. I have heard that they (degrees) do seem to fade over time even after they are framed properly. I do not think it technically voids the degree like laminating you social security card - does it?

    Comments, suggestions, opinions?

    Thanks.

I did, and mine still look the same.

Why bother? Isn't the purpose of laminating to protect it, when framing it will accomplish the same thing? Besides, you can de-frame a document, but you can't de-laminate one.

Mine look the same because I rarely ever look at them. Typically, I will look at transcripts a few times a year but I bet I haven't beheld my BS diplomas more than 2-3 times since getting them. Not that these things look like works of art that need a frame either.
