Two members of my family, now deceased, were under the care of doctors in the commonwealth . I wonder. It is my hope that more are caught. Thank you for the link.

Clarification: The issue is not that they have fake degrees( they have valid degrees) the issue is they did not pass the Medical Exam for the Commonwealth and the obtained the license by other means($$$$$) I knew this kind of thing did happen in Puerto Rico, but bigger forces (FEDs) were needed to open this Pandora box. I am glad this thing finally happens, that way the corruption in the Commonwealth is minimized.

What they did according to local news is that they took actual passing grades exams cut and paste the signature of the president of the board make copies sent letters notifying that they pass the exam and adhere to the letter to the student that did not pass the exams and then destroy the original.

Opened the pandora box they have. Good heavens. The BBPVE, Touro, Financial Aid, and now medical exam fraud in Puerto Rico. Anything else related to education?

"Of the 7,623 physicians practicing in Puerto Rico ,70 % worked in the private sector."

"In April 2000 the total population was 3,808,100"

I love geography. One of my favorite subjects in high school. Its not uncommon for 6-7 family members in Puerto Rico to live in one household. However, it is also not uncommon for two people to live in large houses made
of cement that can withstand level 4 hurricanes :). Especially in the mountains. You can find many doctors living in the mountains. Beautiful houses and wonderful scenery.

To make this post distance learning related, the following web page has information and resources about homeschooling in Puerto Rico.
