Hi everyone, I am almost done with my BS in Liberal Studies from Excelsior. I am officially done but I might take a couple of exams to increase my GPA. I would like to enroll in an online MBA program. I would prefer an MBA with emphasis on Media and communications or an MBA in Media Management. I cannot find anything that would suit my criteria. I need a program that I can complete within a year, online and self-paced and CHEAP. I just cannot afford an expensive program right now as my husband has taken a huge loan for his full time MBA. Please let me know what would be best for me. I live in Michigan, near Ann Arbor, and it would be great if there was something here that I could attend part time and take online courses as well. The university of Michigan is very expensive and they have rigid criteria in order to apply there. Please advice, Adoncia
Webster University has an MBA online and the MA in Communication Management online. You can therefor do the MBA with a concentration in Communication Management online. One advantage to Webster is that they have physical campuses all over the world, so you can do in-the-seat work also if you'd like. The MBA with a concentration in Communication Management would require the MBA core + the MA Comms core for a total of about 45 hours. Not fast and they are not easy. They have an open admissions with no GMAT, GRE, or MAT requirement but they will dump you really fast if you don't keep a 3.0 http:www.webster.edu/online
Webster is expensive. I called them this morning. They're tuition is $575 per credit hour, so for 45 credits that would come up to a lot...I cannot aford it. Baker online might be good, but cannot find info about their tuition, Thanks much, Adoncia
How about this MBA - $147 per credit hour - lowest cost one I've found http://www.csc.edu/distancelearning/MBA.asp
How about an MS in Integrated Marketing Communications at Eastern Michigan University www.emich.edu ? Golden Gate University www.ggu.edu offers the MS in Integrated Marketing Communications and Frankiln University www.franklin.edu offers an MS Marketing & Communication.
Thanks so much, Coach Turner, after taking about 30 CLEPS and DANTES tests..anything over $100 per hour I consider as expensive)) I know I should change my perspective. I cannot find Baker's number on their website. I emailed Devry today and they already called me 4 times this evening...but still haven't clearly told me their entire tuition... Robb, $147 per hour looks very good, thanks, will call them first thing tommorow. Adoncia
Oops! I forgot about West Virginia University's www.wvu.edu MS in Integrated Marketing Communications.
I'm not sure you're going to find an MBA at $100 an hour or less. I've found that $250 - $300 is about the range of "cheap" as far as legit grad programs online go and these tend to be in education. I think it's a function of the ROI of an MBA for the price to be well over $3000 for the program.
If you are looking for graduate school; $300.00 to $400.00 per credit is considered as cheap. I like CSC's tuition; however, what's up with College on your certificate instead UNIVERSITY? Does it sounds weird when you recieve your Bachelor from University of California, and Master from Chadron State College? Oh, well,,,, for the Master level compares to Columbia University, Boston University, and Southern Methodist University... about $1000.00 per credit average. I am about going to dive out of Southern Methodist University. Maybe, Chadron States save me lot of money.
