    Greetings,

    Would like to know of there is a postdoctoral program in franchise management out there by distance learning or online channels?

    I don't have the exact answer you're looking for but Nova Southeastern University has an International Institute for Franchise Education. If they don't have the program, they might be able to either work with you or point you to the right direction. :eek:

    "Franchise management" strikes me as being a rather applied science and, therefore, not something you'd see at the research-oriented doctoral level.

    To the extent that coursework in franchising was ofered, I would expect to see it in the context of an entrepreneurship specialization at the MBA level.

    I could be wrong, of course - the educational bazaar is offering all sorts of weird^H^H^H^H^H unusual specializations at the graduate levels.

    The Nova program is expressed in terms of CFE credits.

    CFE = Certified Franchise Executive

    Being applied, one might still look for it in the context of a DBA or DM. Also, a British-style dissertation-only doctorate might work.

    Thanks guys, I realise it is quite difficult to find an online university to pursue a postdoctoral qualification in franchise management / entrepreneurship. I tried American Liberty University although they are registered in Alabama and California, I don't really know if they are reliable. I am hoping to find a more suitable university or college that would be more attentive from the start which gives a good impression to a prospective candidate. The other thing I would like to know if that the number of years to complete it is fixed so no form of unethical abuse on the part of the institution's managers are in play like some down under unis I know of.
