I got a letter today from EC confirming the above "rumor" :).

It also warns of impending fee increases but declines to state how much.....

  3. I got the same letter along with the most generic student ID card i have ever seen! It is cool that you can finally get student aid, too bad this didnt happen like 6 months ago then i could actually use it.

I was just wondering if this information regarding a new MPA program is posted on the website or if there is a link available.

The only info I've seen on the website so far is from the employment page.

    https://www.excelsior.edu/portal/page?_pageid=57,516128&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) is a new program, scheduled to launch September 2007, and will be offered entirely at a distance. The Survey of Public Administration course will provide students with an understanding of the general theory and principles of public administration in the United States. Emphasis is placed on the administrative state, the federalistic arrangement of government in the United States, management strategies, personnel administration, and fiscal responsibilities in the bureaucracy, problems of accountability and control, and ethics.

Student aid? If true, Excelsior is going right back on my list of potential transfer schools. I've just about got enough credits for my BA.

Sorry Ian; I "trashed" the letter. From what I recall it did not say much other than the school was going to launch two new master's programs, raise fees and seek approval to administer federal aid.

It's been nearly a year, has anyone heard anything new about these new programs?
