Could anyone give me any information about Bienville University other than the fact that it is not an RA school?

At one point (and maybe still) claimed accreditation from ACI: see http://www.bienville.edu/2000/general.html (look for section entitled "Institutional Status"). ACI has been the focus of much mockery and general amusement here and on AED.

Bienville was licensed to operate by the State of Louisiana in September 2000:
I don't know if there has been any update since last year.

ACI (then IAC) once accredited a school which listed Peelsburi Doughboy and Wonarmmd Mann as school executives. The school's Latin motto was "Education is for the birds." Did ACI/IAC care? Well, the school gained the coveted status of being accredited. PSalmon is correct: Mockery, General Amusement! [IMG]

I don't believe any school has gone all the way through Louisiana's new process. But if the Board of Regents gave Bienville that conditional license more than a year ago, it seems reasonable to assume that by now, they must have initiated some process with a recognized accreditor. They were not listed as an applicant in the just-received bulletin of DETC, but there may be other possibilities. Would it not be a reasonable question to ask Bienville: "Pursuant to the 9/00 Board of Regents resolution, what accreditation steps have you taken?" Perhaps someone here who is more likely to get an answer from them than I will ask them and report back.

Yes, John. Some owners of *innovative* institutions of higher learning seem to react quite strongly to inquiries from you.
You seem like a likeable fellow to me.

By the way, you really do need to write an autobiography....your memoirs (ala the English character from Magnum PI). You have some priceless anecdotes.
