Valdosta State Library Degree Accredited

I received an email from the dean of the library school at Valdosta State University this morning that reads as follows: "The Master of Library and Information Science Program at Valdosta State University just received its initial accreditation from the American Library Association for the full seven years." This is one more option for people wishing to pursue a MLIS degree at a distance. Please note that for a couple of the courses, two or three face-to-face visits may be required.
