Teaching certfication

    I am an Indian living in New Delhi, a permanent resident alien(Green Card holder)with 23 years Experience in Business and commerce in Indian companies most of it in Marketing and Administration.I completed my graduation(15 years education) and Post graduation(3 years part time)MBA(marketing) from Indian Universities(Calcutta University.Attended college in 1978.
    I shall be relocating to USA in next 6 months to max.a year for which Iw ant to prepare my self:
    This year I completed 10 credit hours in Eng 102 and Eng 270 from Belle-Vue Comminity College(regionally accredited)and got A and B respectively.
    My objectivce is mid career change to 'teaching' K-8 and/or K 12.may be After I qualify for K 8 thenI attempt K 12.Prefrred state/s are (1) Illinois (2) Arizona (3 ) Nevada
    Can someone suggest to me
    (1)what is the minimum program I must complete before I may qualify to teach
    (2)How do I achieve(1)preferably 'on-line'
    (3)If I have to attend campus full time,can I get a part time job in the college/University just to support my self?
    (4)How is 'Shady Hills training school?

    While gratuitous criticism of grammar and spelling is normally frowned upon, I believe a comment is relevant here. Your success in completing a teacher certification program, not to mention the requisite testing involved, may hinge on your ability to write English.

    Provided that you have a bachelor's degree that would meet the requirements for whichever state you end up in, there is only one school which meets your qualifications above. Rio Salado College in Arizona offers an online teacher credential program that, through reciprocity, would be valid in 20 other states. You would want to check with the college or with the Arizona Department of Education to make sure that they have reciprocity with whichever state you end up choosing.

    You would still need to complete the student teaching component of the program, but you should be able to do that anywhere in the U.S.
