I need some advise. I am looking for a online school where I can get at least an associates degree in accounting fast. I would like to complete the degree within two years. Then move on to a bachelors. An associates degree will get my foot in the front door. I have no credits to transfer so I am starting from zero. I have checked into Penn Foster & Peru State College (they only offer bachelors). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello there! Penn Foster also has an Associate Program in Accounting is National Accredited degree by the DETC and credits are ACE evaluated. another School is Ashworh College, Now Aswhorth University, and if you put effort you can finish your AS in less than two years, they also DETC accredited. But if you are looking for RA they are a lot of options out there, and member point out some. I hope this help, good luck!

    Yes!

    I have no life:

6 more courses I will be done with the MBA in Finance
3 more Exams and I will be a CPA
3 more years and I will be a DBA in Accounting

Why the second MBA? Didn't you have to do a lot of duplicate coursework?

I wanted to complement my other accounting credentials,(A finance degree has more pull than an accounting one) Not really, not duplicated. Some Universities has similar classes and will transfer only 6 credits and you will take duplicate classes, With CSU I was able to transfer 18 credits, so was either do a certificate or do the MBA, I selected the MBA. And that was fine with me.

Dude, great to hear from you! I think you have my email address; I'd like to catch up sometime and hear about your experiences with the Argosy DBA in Accounting.

Thomas Edison State College (TESC), do it all through tests and online courses. None of the courses have to be TESC courses. All courses can be from elsewhere.

    accounting requirements

the accounting courses can be filled by

Online accounting courses through SUNY (State University of New York)

Online accounting courses through LSU (Louisiana State University)
    http://www.is.lsu.edu/courselist.asp?cat=Accounting&nid=102&pg=

or CLEP exams or DANTES exams

There's also Empire State College where you basically design your own program (withing limits of course)
    http://www.esc.edu/esconline/online2.nsf/html/undergraduatestudy.html
To earn an associate degree you must successfully complete 64 credits, with at least 24 credits earned at Empire State College. You may include up to 40 credits for learning that occurred before enrolling at Empire State College.

Other oline courses and exams. If its listed under the CCE column, that menas you only have to take one proctored exam. There is no class at all.
