Do you reccomend this program ?
I am getting some information for a friend, he is looking to get some kind of certificate or degree as a PC technician without going back to school, with the exception of online education.

What other programs are offered online besides PCDI or PennFoster?

    Thanks!

The career of a computer technician is generally filled with low-paying jobs and highly repetitive bench-style work. If your friend is intent upon working as a technician, then certifications such as A+, Network+, and Linux+ from CompTIA might be the less expensive route. Then after working as a computer technician for a few months a decision whether to pursue an associate degree can be made. Depending on the school, the CompTIA certifications can be used towards to the degree.
