Can anyone please advise me of the exact wording on the transcript from Excelsior. Does it state that it is regionally accredited, does it state non-traditional, or does it state something different all together. I would appreciate any help anyone could give. Thanks.

    Steve,

I haven't seen a new Excelsior transcript but my old USNY transcript (now Excelsior) does not state external, non-traditional, or anything else about the nature of the program nor does it mention the accreditation on the transcript (newer transcripts may).

I looked back on my transcripts from accreditated schools and found that some do not not list accreditation on the transcript while others do on the back page. Newer transcripts from some schools that previously did not list accreditation now list accreditation. A couple did not list accreditation on the transcript but provided a supplemental page with the transcript that explains the grading and lists the accreditation.

    (formerly known as Regents College"

And on the reverse of the transcript:
    "Accreditation
Excelsior College is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The associate and baccalaureate nursing degree programs are accredited by the National League for Nursing. Excelsior College Examinations are recognized by the American Council on Education for the award of college-level credit. The programs of Excelsior College are registered with the New York State Education Department."

.. along with a variety of other transcript trivia, security features, et cetera.
