    This one appears so often and it always starts me wondering. Fifty years ago was 1957. I sometimes enjoy considering what those who graduated from HS in 1957 really knew about say Vietnam or Iraq and that part of Asia/Middle-East, space and space flight, computers and technology, molecular physics, world politics, psychology, sociology, geography, algebra, ...

    Nope, I don't buy it. Junior High kids today know more just from being a part of this society than I knew when I graduated from High School and I didn't graduate as long as 50 years ago.
