In Academe: Distance education may not make money, but with the military’s help it may restructure the university — and not in the faculty’s interest.

And who just happens to have a book (titled Digital Diploma Mills) coming out next month.

Question of the day: Will it outsell Bears' Guide to the Best Education Degrees by Distance Learning? Will Amazon.com offer to sell them both together, at a 5% discount? Should we be talking to him about possible cross-promotion?

    Cheers,

David Noble has a very interesting academic record, to say the least. From what I've read, he manages to make enemies and piss off the majority of his fellow faculty no matter what school he ends up at.

Harvard University could offer a non-resident Associate's degree in conjunction with Yale, Dartmouth, Princeton, Berkeley, Oxford, & Cambridge, and David Noble would still consider it a grave threat to education as we know it.
