I don't know why I find this interesting...but I have just never seen a school accept paypal.

For what it's worth, I think it's clever.

I think it's more that IACI accepts Paypal and forwards the funds to Unisa via bank wire. Still, it's convenient. Another reason for universities to make use of foreign agents -- so long as they're reputable like Dr. Esselen.

    PayPal and UNISA

Hello, Steve. We have traded posts in another discussion board forum elsewhere on the Internet concerning UNISA in the past couple of weeks. Regarding PayPal and UNISA, I think that the connection is a great idea, and I agree that IACI is playing a large part in the transfer of American dollars. PayPal, I think, perhaps helps to assure uneasy Americans who part with their money that the correct funds go to the correct place (in this case, UNISA).

For non-US students Aspen University uses PayPal as the payment method. The exchange rate through PayPal is usually though not always better than those offered by the major credit card companies. PayPal is, in my opinion, a convenient means of paying for tuition and other fees simply because no credit card is required; the PayPal account can be tied to a credit card or bank account.
