It is. I believe the original poster is speaking of the Calvin School of Apologetics and Theology http://www.calvinschool.info/ They claim accreditation from something called the International Council For Accrediting Alternate And Theological Education. http://www.icaats.org.in/ As far as I can tell, they have no government authority or recognition to issue degrees, at least not outside of India.
"Almost Free" Theology Degrees If you are looking for "free" or technically "almost free" theology degrees available via the Internet, have a look at the bachelors and masters degrees at the non-profit, unaccredited NationsUniversity: http://www.nationsu.org For Internet students who are not incarcerated or studying for the ministry outside the U.S., they ask for a modest $100 per year registration fee to underwrite the cost of servers and bandwidth. The credits are transferable to Lipscomb University and possibly other similar schools. Best wishes, Dave
Do you know how the transfer of credit works? Is there a per credit transfer fee? Is there a maximum number of hours that can be transferred? Is it Lipscomb University that accepts them, or is it Lipscomb Bible College? Can the credits be used toward a BA or is an entire degree accepted for entrance into a grad program?
The policy is regarding transferring to Lipscomb University in Nashville with a complete Bachelor of Religious Studies from NationsUniversity. I don't know about the fees, but I imagine that there are some required by Lipscomb. Here is the page: http://www.nationsu.org/standing With respect to transferring into NationsUniversity, which wasn't your question, I believe there is also arrangement where graduates of Sunset International Bible Institute (http://www.sibi.cc) can transfer credit into NationsUniversity. I assume this means that one could eventually gain access to the Lipscomb University graduate program by starting at Sunset. Dave
