Just took ECE OB today and got a C. However, I answered over 70% over the questions correctly. I thought that was considered a pretty high percentage for these standardized tests, as in deserving of an A. My wife previously scored in the 60% range on some of these ECE test (including OB) and got As. Has something chaged?

Just took another ECE, Labor Relations, and got 75% correct. This only got me a C as well (my third C in a row for ECE tests). My experience on other standardized tests (CLEP, DANTES, etc.) is that 75% is pretty damn good, probably good enough for an A. Does anyone have any insight into ECE's bell curve, or how the test is normed?

Thanks.. this is a very interesting resource for me. Not sure how to interpret all the statistical stuff, but it says the mean percentage correct on the Labor Relations exam is 53-58%, depending on the form. Considering that over 50% of test takers score at least a B, I still don't understand why I got a C, given that I got 75% of the questions correct. I am planning on faxing my results to Excelsior to see what they have to say.

I would have thought that 90% A, 80% B, 70% C, 60% D, and 59% and below E/F would have been pretty standard. Unless the question here is a matter of distinctions between percentages (the portion of the answers you got correct) versus percentiles (the portion of the fellow students you scored better than). Just my thought.
