Can a degree be accelerated? And if so how fast can a Bachelors degree be done via internet. Lets say we take some easy Bachelors degree program.
Assuming 1 course at a time and each course is 8 weeks in duration, a bachelor degree could be completed in as little as 5 years and 8 months. By taking multiple courses at a time, the time to completion can be reduced proportionally.
Is there a limit to the number of courses that can be taken at one go? Is it possible to take say 3 courses in a 8 week period? If so I wish to know which online university allows us to do so. TIA.
Re: Is there a limit to the number of courses If you are not working full-time, then taking 3 8-week courses concurrently is feasible. I think most online universities have a 12 credit hour limit per term/semester, but it is advisable to check with the schools in which you are interested. This past term (September to December) I have been taking 5 courses from 3 schools (15 credit hours of general education humanities and social science) while working full-time and it has been exhausting. After Christmas, I am planning to slow down a little but hope to finish by the spring or summer at the latest.
How would you bind them together? Do you use a credit evaluation service to do that? This seems interesting and accelerated. If I work full time and utilize about 5 hours per day and sign up three courses from three different online universities, I would be able to get a US based Bachelors fast enough? Like say in 2 years time?
There are also 5.5 week classes. You can complete 8 per year if you take one class at a time. If you take three classes at a time you could do it in under 2 years.
In my case, I am enrolled at Thomas Edison State College (TESC) while taking courses at 3 other schools to complete the remaiing credit hours. I have the transcripts from the three schools sent directly to TESC and TESC applies those courses towards the degree. Of course, you can earn a degree from other schools and within limits transfer credit hours into the degree. However, only Thomas Edison State College, Charter Oak State College, and Excelsio College allow 100% transfer-in, no residency, of earned credit hours.
Keiser University is expensive and academically unremarkable, but is regionally accredited and has twelve convenient four-week terms per year. -=Steve=-
Keiser Has a Bachelors in Healthcare services which is typical of my field. How I wish such courses are located in NJ area. I am seeing a few Associate degree courses but not a bachelors degree course in New Jersey.
Excelsior has B.S. in Health Sciences degree. I havent looked into it closely enough to be certain it is entirely completable by distance, but I do know they have several exams and online courses that pertain to the degree.
