Hello everyone. I will be completing my 2nd master's degree in a few months and hoping to enter a doctorate program after. I applied for a ph.d program at my local university, however the competition is fierce so I'm not putting too much faith in my application. Any ideas or recommendations for doctorate programs onine? particularly criminal justice, public administration/political science, something to that effect. Yes, I wouldn't mind teaching part time some day
makana793 Northcentral University is RA, so they might be worth looking at. Here's the link to their degree programs:
makana793 I don't know what happened to the link above, so lets try this again. It looks like NCU may have the programs your interested in. Here's the link to their degree programs: www.ncu.edu/degree_programs.asp
It may help a bit. My niece will be studying Criminal Justice and we have been looking for info lately. One of her Professors recommend her some guides that he had bookmarked. One of them was precisely this website: www.degreeinfo.com and other one was www.onlinelearning101.com I have checked both of them, they are useful guides.
Thanks everyone I appreciate the assistance. In the event I don't get accepted at my local university, NCU will be my backup. I don't mean to go off on a tangent but my background is in criminal justice/corrections. However, the Ph.D in Homeland Security intrigues me. The courses are a good mixture of law enforcement and national security issues. Which specialization would give me the most future employment opportunities? I have approximately 10 years in public safety/corrections. Hoping one day to move into an administrative capacity or work in the federal govt like DHS, DOD, etc. I'm also a military reservist as well. Any opinions would be most appreciated. Thank you
If you decide to do the NCU route, make sure you apply for the military tuition assistance rate. http://www.ncu.edu/info.asp?i=107
