Well, I am glad to say all of my coursework at California Coast University is done! I should be receiving the actual degree/diploma in two to three weeks. I will have the degree awarded in person, my wife and parents will be in attendance.

Aside from that, I applied and was accepted in to the Aspen MBA program. I should be starting that sometime in January of 2007. I told my wife I have been a DL student too long, and it would feel strange not do some kind of coursework. As crazy as it sounds, I guess I have come to enjoy the challenge!

I would like to thank everybody for always sharing their knowledge and wisdom! I wish you all the best.

    Abner :)

    Congratulations, Abner!

You have reaffirmed a previously held belief that education is addictive. With all the MBAs and PhD earners on this forum it indeed raises the bar for us all.

I am sure you will find Aspen University a good school. Did you qualify for the reduced tuition fee of approximately USD4200.00?

Now update your signature to "show off" your newly earned credential. :p

Hey broheim! Thanks so much to you and everybody for the kind words. I will keep you posted on the MBA, and if I make it, I know you will make sure and induct me into your MBA club. :)

As far the PhD, I am not sure. S.A. PhD program might be a good fit for me. Plus the cost can't be beat! I am paying for everything out of my own pocket, with no reimbursment from my employer. The second consideration would be NCU because they offer a big discount for government workers. Since I am a union job steward, I have been advocating worker reimbursement for my department. Who knows, if I keep fighting for that, maybe I can succeed in having that added in (reimbursment). If I am successful in obtaining education reimbursment, then I would go with NCU.

Of course, pursuing the PhD would really be for personal satisfaction. I do not plan of teaching in academia, as most of you know. I have come to the conclusion I am merely addicted to education. :) I guess I better finish my MBA first (I hope).

    Thanks Ted and everybody else,

your kind words give me encouragement!

    Abner :)

    Lajazz947,

I just have a question about one of your institutions. How do Californian look at Pepperdine University over University of California system or CalState?

    Thanks...
